Kaufman, Rossin Appoints Blain Heckaman as Managing Principal

Kaufman Rossin, one of the largest independent accounting firms in Florida, today announced that Blain Heckaman has been appointed  managing principal as part of an ongoing succession plan. James Kaufman, one of the founding members of Kaufman, Rossin, had previously served in this role since the inception of the Firm.  Mr. Kaufman will remain as chairman and CEO.

Heckaman began his career with the firm 28 years ago as a senior auditor, before making partner in June 1996. He is a certified public accountant in both Florida and Indiana and has served as an engagement partner for public and private audit clients.  As managing principal, he will take a more active role in firm management, something he has already been involved with for the past several years.

Heckaman is active in the community and currently serves as treasurer of the Voices for Children foundation, a non-profit organization that raises funds for the Guardian ad Litem Program. He has been involved with the foundation for more than 10 years.
