Job Description

Kaufman Rossin’s new Financial Planning & Wellness branch is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Financial Planning Analyst to help grow this exciting venture.  As a Financial Planning Analyst, you’ll be integral to the development of this new practice area.  The role is well-rounded: you’ll deal with everything from determining meeting with clients, drafting financial strategies, developing procedures, and giving presentations.  All of this, with a dedicated Learning & Development group to utilize, as well as Business Development professionals to help you succeed.  This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get in on the ground floor of a fresh and promising service line!


  • Help support the financial planning process as an integral member of the team.
  • Attend client meetings with Department Head and Managers
  • Determine clients’ current income, expenses, insurance coverage, tax status, financial objectives, risk tolerance, and other information needed to develop a financial plan
  • Prepare financial and business related analysis and research
  • Draft consolidated forecasts and budgets and analyze trends in revenue, expense, capital expenditures and other related areas
  • Review clients’ accounts and plans regularly to determine life changes that would affect financial strategy
  • Coordinate with clients’ other outside advisors, including attorneys, property and casualty brokers, accountants, trust officers, and bankers, to fully understand clients’ financial goals and circumstances
  • Utilize the expertise of our internal team of CPA’s, Business Consultants, Risk Analysts, Insurance Professionals, and other planning specialists
  • Make recommendations in areas such as cash management, insurance coverage, and investment planning
  • Implement financial planning recommendations
  • Work directly with financial planning software and client data to prepare formal financial plan and accompanying presentation material.
  • Draft presentation materials and PowerPoints
  • Act as an ambassador for the new practice area internally, with current clients, prospective clients, and to the local marketplace
  • Support the Financial Planning & Wellness group
  • Stay up to date with market trends


  • BS/BA degree or higher
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and tax principles
  • High level of initiative, accountability and strong desire to grow book of business
  • Efficiently manages time and capacity
  • Ability to work in a team, as well as independently
  • Client service focus with experience actively listening, eliciting information, and understanding client issues/needs
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships
  • Experience using Salesforce, MoneyGuidePro, or EMoney is a plus
  • Bilingual is a plus
