Job Description

Kaufman Rossin is seeking an experienced risk professional to join our Risk Advisory group, in Miami. This role is pivotal in assisting teams of professionals to analyze large data sets and preparing relevant reports.  This position will be an active contributor of the team, assisting with the execution and completion of risk assessments, model validations, tuning and calibrations and project management within the financial institution industry.  

Responsibilities:

  • Review financial institutions for potential gaps in policy, procedures and processes
  • Review and assist in the development of queries of large financial data sets to identify potential money laundering, financial and/or sanction risks
  • Test data quality and completeness from source to target systems and communicate results on remediating any data quality or completeness matters or weaknesses in data processes
  • Utilize scripting tools/software to Assist in developing automated tasks to create efficient processes for financial institutions to identify, monitor, and report transactions for potential unusual and/or suspicious activity
  • Assist in implementation of AML/BSA detection and prevention methods
  • Develop creative and practical recommendations for improvement that address identified risks
  • Develop and maintain relationships with client personnel and commit to constantly improving their satisfaction
  • Work cooperatively with financial institution’s internal departments to obtain and analyze necessary information related to the project
  • Work cooperatively with other financial institutions to obtain necessary information related to the project

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of experience within BSA/AML compliance environment
  • Preferred employers include Consulting Firms, Banks, or Examiners
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field
  • Industry relevant licensure preferred
  • Ability to organize and analyze complex data sets
  • Ability to understand and read complex functions in Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and participate in teams
  • Bilingual preferred

Successful candidates will be able to work in small teams as well as independently, in a fast-paced environment.  Candidates that are able to multi-task, think outside the box, and are attentive to details will have an advantage.
