Kaufman Rossin Donates Desktops & Printers to SFDA

Kaufman Rossin, one of the top firms in the U.S., announced today that it is donating desktops and printers to the South Florida Digital Alliance (SFDA), a nonprofit organization whose goal is to increase South Florida’s economic competitiveness through the support of digital literacy programs and the elimination of the “digital divide.”

SFDA works with a variety of institutions in the community, including organizations in education, health care, government, nonprofits and the private sector. Donated resources are distributed to the segments of the community with the greatest need – the elderly, children and other nonprofits. SFDA also supplies Technology Learning Centers at public locations like parks, where anyone in the community can have access to a computer.

“Kaufman Rossin’s very generous donation will assist us in our community efforts and in furthering the SFDA’s mission: ‘Connecting our community for a brighter future,’” said James E. Osteen, executive director of the SFDA.

Kaufman Rossin’s learning and development manager, Andrew Phillips, serves on SFDA’s board of directors and organized the donation. “Here in South Florida, the SFDA takes on the fight to eliminate the digital divide,” said Phillips. “The computers we donate will go directly into our own backyard. The end goal is to educate the community about the power of technology and raise awareness about the need for broadband access in every American household.”
