Kaufman Rossin, one of the largest independent accounting firms in Florida, today announced that Michael Simmons, business development specialist, has been named chair of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s HYPE (Helping Young Professionals Engage) Committee. As chair of HYPE, he will sit on the Chamber’s Board of Directors. 

HYPE is a program created to connect young professionals with business leaders in the community and help them become more proactive in the development of Greater Miami by organizing business workshops, mentorships with business leaders and social events.

Simmons’ commitment to community service also includes serving as the marketing chair of Habitat Young Professionals of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami. He frequently writes and speaks about how young professionals can get more involved in the community.

Simmons has been with Kaufman, Rossin for nearly five years concentrating on all aspects of the firm’s marketing, including new business development, community relations, CRM, event and seminar planning and media relations.
