Kaufman, Rossin & Co., one of the largest independent accounting firms in Florida, today announced that Robert Kaufman, CPA, a principal with the firm and also a director with Kaufman Rossin Fund Services (KRFS), has been appointed a volunteer member with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Beginning in October, Kaufman will serve as a volunteer member on the Investment Companies Expert Panel for 2012-2013. As a volunteer, he will have the opportunity to influence and guide the accounting profession’s direction as well as network with peers. The AICPA offers approximately 180 volunteer groups.
Kaufman has been with Kaufman, Rossin for more than 20 years. He is the technician of the firm’s financial services practice, including U.S. and foreign regulatory reporting and compliance. In addition, he was part of the group that created KRFS, which provides fund accounting and fund administration services.
Kaufman’s practice area is focused on providing audit, tax, and performance and other attestation services for domestic and off-shore hedge funds, broker-dealers, commodity pools and other CFTC regulated entities as well as for the affiliated management companies. He is also involved in advisory services related to the financial services industry, providing strategic and organizational planning along with other transactional consulting.
