Claudia Low leverages her expertise in international tax to provide high-net-worth individuals and privately-held businesses with strategic tax and compliance solutions. With her years of experience in business tax, individual tax and international tax, Claudia advises U.S. and foreign-based multinational corporations on complex tax matters to minimize their taxes globally and comply with international reporting and compliance.

She specializes in developing and implementing tax planning strategies for domestic and cross-border international transactions. Moreover, Claudia relies on her extensive knowledge of tax credits and incentives, such as the Interest-Charge Domestic International Sales Corporation (IC-DISC) export tax incentive, to introduce global clients to additional tax-saving benefits. She also works with clients on pre-immigration tax planning, expatriation planning, offshore voluntary compliance, and transactions of U.S. real estate by foreigners.

Before joining Kaufman Rossin in 2014, Claudia was a senior tax executive with a large U.S.-based international firm. In this role, she focused on U.S. and international tax compliance for all Latin American countries. She also worked for KPMG in São Paulo, Brazil. Claudia formerly owned and operated a tax consulting practice in San Diego, California, for many years.

Claudia is recognized for her expertise in international tax and specialized experience with Brazilian taxation. She also served as a federal tax judge in Brazil within the 1º Conselho de Contribuintes in Brasília DF (equivalent to the U.S. Tax Court of Appeals in the U.S.), and was the court’s youngest judge ever selected to adjudicate decisions. She is a Brazilian-registered attorney (Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil - São Paulo). Claudia is bilingual in English and Portuguese.
