Luciano Humberto leverages his digital forensics expertise when leading data-driven investigations and assisting clients with litigation consulting and data-intensive matters. An information technology veteran with more than two decades of experience, he advises public and private companies on matters related to electronic discovery, computer forensics and large data sets. Additionally, Luciano draws on his knowledge of distinct databases, data mining, data query tools and reporting applications to help clients evaluate information from multiple angles, identify cost-effective strategies to manage data and achieve business goals.
He has conducted numerous computer forensic and e-discovery engagements, with extreme care for proper evidence preservation and chain of custody procedures. Luciano has helped clients address civil litigation and investigations initiated by federal agencies, including the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). Moreover, Luciano has served as an expert witness in state court and the circuit courts of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
Since joining Kaufman Rossin in 2008, Luciano has counseled clients in a wide range of industries. He is a Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) and Certified Computer Examiner (CCE). He is a former AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and previously obtained CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications. He is a member of the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners and the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists.
He is bilingual in English and Portuguese.
