How to establish an open culture

I believe in joy at work, and that’s what our firm’s success is built on. It’s a strong foundation and not one you can fake. Meredyth McKenzie interviewed me and wrote about it in this month’s SmartBusiness.
It’s all based on the idea of working hard — but also having fun and enjoying what we’re doing. Employees know that I truly live this message. Leading by example is what makes it work.

- Set the right tone at the top and maintain a true open door policy.
- Recognize diversity. Joy at work means different things to different people; treating people fairly doesn’t mean treating everyone the same.
Our firm’s culture is what makes this a special place to work. To learn more about making your company special, read the full story here.
