Who We Are

Kaufman Rossin is one of the 50 largest CPA and advisory firms in the U.S. and the largest independent firm in Florida. We’ve been here since 1962. Partner-owned by choice, and free to focus on exactly one thing: you.

Built to last.

Jim Kaufman and Jay Rossin founded this firm in 1962 with a specific kind of ambition. They weren’t building toward an exit. They were building an institution — the kind that could keep its word to clients for decades, develop people across generations, and commit to serving the communities we operate in.

They understood something that still guides us today: work should be genuinely good for the people doing it. Not a means to an end. Actually, genuinely good. When work is good for our people, our people take extraordinary care of their clients. That’s not a theory. We have sixty years of experience that bears it out.

This strong foundation is why we’re still independent today.

Independence isn’t a stance we take. It’s an advantage we refuse to give up.

We only have one agenda: yours.

In a profession where many firms have accepted outside capital or been absorbed by larger platforms, we’ve made a different choice. Deliberately, and more than once.

What independence means for you, practically: when a Kaufman Rossin professional sits across from you, there is no investor timeline behind the advice. No parent company redefining what good service looks like. No agenda other than yours. The people you meet have chosen to build their careers here, and they’re thinking in decades, not engagements.

The professional you meet today is likely the person you’ll work with ten years from now. When your needs grow or shift, the next person you need is already here. We’re free to tell you what we actually think. No incentive to tell you what you want to hear.

We are people who have seen enough, stayed long enough, and care enough to offer the perspective you didn’t know you needed.

What we do

More than 700 professionals providing accounting, audit, tax, and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, investors, and the people who make mid-market businesses run. We’ve spent more than sixty years helping clients navigate their most complex opportunities and challenges — not just once, but over the full arc of the business lifecycle.

Our diverse global team has deep expertise and the breadth to bring the right people to every situation. We work with founders and builders, growth-minded entrepreneurs, mid-market companies, and families building something for future generations. Proudly headquartered in Miami, we serve clients throughout Florida, across the U.S., and around the world.

Why we do this

We exist to leave people better off. Employees. Clients. Community.

For the clients we serve, that means turning uncertainty into clarity and competing priorities into clear paths forward. Anticipating needs. Delivering tangible results. Going to great lengths to show our clients how much they matter. Not because it’s good for business — because it’s the right way to do this work.

Every career guided, every problem solved, every community investment made — it all compounds. Good always does.

What we stand for

We’ve been grounded in our values since the beginning and it’s our independence that gives us the freedom to stay true to who we’ve always been.

Four values shape how we work:

Integrity

There’s no right way to do the wrong thing. When the easy path and the right path diverge, we don’t hesitate — not just because we hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards, but because the alternative simply isn’t something we’re willing to live with. In our profession, being ethical is expected. For us, it’s just who we are. We tell the truth, even when it’s complicated. We do what we say we’re going to do. Even when nobody’s watching.

Collaboration

We are One Firm. Not a collection of practices and specialists that happen to share a name, but something genuinely greater than the sum of its parts. For our clients, that means you only have to talk to one of us to access all of us. When we bring more perspectives into the room, blind spots are uncovered, ideas get stronger, and solutions become more complete. The best insight often comes from the unexpected angle, the question no one thought to ask. We are that voice.

Joy

Joy isn’t a luxury to enjoy once the hard work is done. It’s the thing that makes it possible in the first place. It’s working alongside people who celebrate your achievements and your humanity. It’s the feeling that comes from helping a client solve something genuinely hard. It’s knowing and caring about the people you work with — not just their work, but their world.

Grit

Some firms are focused on preparing for an exit. We’re here to stay. Six decades of independence and growth aren’t an accident. It’s the result of passion for the work, perseverance through hard seasons, and the courage to keep doing things the right way. We don’t take shortcuts with our clients’ futures, and we haven’t taken them with our own. It’s the entrepreneurial mindset in action: showing up day in, day out, finding creative solutions, and having the resilience to see them through.

Leadership

Kaufman Rossin is led by Chief Executive Officer Marc Feigelson. With nearly three decades at the firm, Marc brings deep financial leadership and a conviction that independence and innovation — grounded in a commitment to people and purpose — are what distinguish Kaufman Rossin today, and what will carry us forward.

As a partner-owned and led firm, our leaders work inside the business every day, closely connected to the clients and teams they serve. There is no distant management layer. The people setting the direction are the people who work with you.

Recognition worth mentioning

Kaufman Rossin is ranked among the top 50 CPA and advisory firms in the country by INSIDE Public Accounting, and we’re the largest independent firm in Florida. We’ve been named the #1 Accounting Firm to Work For in the U.S. by Accounting Today and one of the Best Places to Work in South Florida by the South Florida Business Journal for many years running.

We’re especially proud of our Best of Accounting Award for superior client service, received multiple years in a row and based on ratings from more than 1,000 clients. That one matters most to us because it comes directly from the people we serve.

These recognitions reflect what we’ve always believed: when work is genuinely good for the people doing it, those people make things genuinely better for everyone around them. And that’s why we’re here.

Kaufman Rossin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Center for Audit Quality and is registered with and subject to inspection by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.
