Kaufman Rossin in the Community: Bullies 2 the Rescue
Read
Erin Cannon of Kaufman Rossin talks about her involvement in the community.
Which organization are you involved in and what is its objective?
Bullies 2 the Rescue (B2TR) is an English bulldog rescue organization dedicated to the health and welfare of English and French Bulldogs. This organization finds dogs that people have abused or abandoned, and nurses them back to health in hopes to find them a loving home. At times, some dogs are in the end stages of life or have issues that render them difficult to adopt. In those cases, they spend the rest of their lives knowing love and comfort in the Bullie Bungalow – a place where sick or old bulldogs stay if they don’t have homes.
What is your role with the organization?
Currently, I help Bullies 2 the Rescue by donating items and contributions annually. I also participate in several fundraisers and auctions that help raise awareness about the organization. And I help spread the word by using social media to let my friends and colleagues know how they can also get involved.
Why did you decide to get involved in this organization?
I have been involved with Bullies 2 the Rescue for over nine years now. I have fostered and adopted a number of English bulldogs over this time. I first learned about B2TR through mutual rescuers and friends whom I started to follow on Facebook. I was inspired by the people who run the rescue because of their sincere compassion for these dogs. This dedicated group of volunteers goes above and beyond expectations to help save them. I like knowing that 100% of my donations help the animals in need.
How has Kaufman Rossin contributed to your success with this organization?
I am thrilled and grateful that Kaufman Rossin supports deserving charities through the Jeans Day fundraisers. I hope to raise a lot of money for this organization I am so passionate about.
What is your advice for others who are thinking about getting involved in the community?
Find an organization that has a mission you feel passionate about. Volunteer, give money and spread the word to your friends and family using social media. It’s such a simple way to provide exposure to deserving organizations.
