Read
Scott Berger talks about his community involvement.
Which organization are you involved in and what is its objective?
I’m involved with Noah’s Light Foundation. Its mission is “to find a cure for pediatric brain cancer by supporting visionary doctors in pediatric oncology, funding new research in the field, raising awareness of our cause, and enriching the lives of the brave children struggling with this disease.”
What is your role with the organization?
The couple who started the organization are clients of the firm.
Why did you decide to get involved in this organization?
I began to get involved after meeting our clients, Dennis and Amber Larkin, and their son Noah, who was diagnosed with a form of pediatric brain cancer in 2009. Noah passed away at just 8 years old in May 2012, shortly after our meeting.
How has Kaufman, Rossin contributed to your success with this organization?
Kaufman, Rossin has provided the support and resources to work with the executive team to grow the organization.
What is your advice for others who are thinking about getting involved in the community?
The greatest reward one can have is giving to those in need and cannot do for themselves, especially children. Give to others and it will come back many times over.
