Read
Nick Tootle of Kaufman Rossin talks about his involvement in the community.
Which organization are you involved in and what is its objective?
The Education Fund helps to maximize students’ potential by providing opportunities to help them graduate and succeed in life. The organization benefits schools, teachers and students in Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
What is your role with the organization?
Currently, I am on the Board of Directors for the Education Fund. I’m grateful to serve as a leader in this organization and make an impact upon its work and success.
Why did you decide to get involved in this organization?
I first learned about the organization when I served on the audit committee for Miami-Dade County Public Schools. I noticed the school system’s funding wasn’t keeping up with the needs of the schools. Therefore, I joined the Education Fund’s efforts help raise more money for these public schools and I have been involved ever since. It truly is an amazing organization with dedicated employees and passionate board members working to make a change.
How has Kaufman Rossin contributed to your success with this organization?
Kaufman Rossin has been very supportive of my endeavors with the Education Fund, allowing me the time to give back and helping me raise funds through the generous proceeds from our Jeans Day initiative.
What is your advice for others who are thinking about getting involved in the community?
Find something you like and commit to it! There are so many people less fortunate that need our help in the community, and it’s important to give back.
