Kaufman Rossin’s Nick Tootle talks about his involvement with a nonprofit organization.

Which organization are you involved in and what is its objective?

I am involved in The Education Fund, a nonprofit organization that provides private sector leadership and support for innovation in public education. We design and implement initiatives that involve the entire community working to improve our schools.

What is your role with the organization?

I am a member of the Board of Directors.

Why did you decide to get involved in this organization?

I have been involved in supporting public education for years and I’m passionate about the mission, so when a colleague recommended The Education Fund to me, I jumped at the chance.  They have been serving the South Florida community since 1985, and their mission and programs make a real difference in the lives of students across the state.

How has Kaufman, Rossin contributed to your success with this organization?

The firm supports The Education Fund and similar nonprofit organizations through monthly Jeans Day fundraisers. Additionally, they allow me the freedom to be generous with my time so that I can attend meetings and volunteer opportunities.

What is your advice for others who are thinking about getting involved in the community?

Find a cause you care about and dive in! It’s a great opportunity to give back to the community while networking with others that share your passion.
