QuickBooks Tip: Optimize Expense Management with Tallie

Read

Are you tired of your employees always submitting expense reports late?

Fret no more because Tallie can help you automate your employee’s expense report workflow and integrate expense data with your accounting system of choice – including QuickBooks Online. This expense report software solution can help your employees process their expense reports faster and hopefully lead to more timely filed reports.

How Tallie works

Tallie is a third party application that works with your existing accounting software. You can sync the application with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, Bill.com, SmartVault or Intacct.

You can drag and drop images of your receipts into Tallie, input your expense data manually or import your charges directly from the credit card attached to your account. From there, Tallie does most of the work for you.

When all of your expense entries are created, you’re ready to start your report. Select your expenses, assemble your report and send – all with just a few clicks to your accounting software.

If you are using QuickBooks Online, Tallie exports expenses as bills, checks or credit card transactions.  All expenses can be coded against customer/job and classes.  Additionally, expenses can be marked as billable and tracked against service items for an easy invoicing process.  Plus Tallie even sends all of your receipt documentation to QuickBooks for easy retrieval and billing data.

What it can do

Tallie’s features include:

  • iOS and Android mobile apps for mobile receipt uploading and expense report editing
  • Auto-categorization technology that learns from your spending behavior
  • Duplicate detection system that minimizes the chance of users submitting the same expense twice
  • Custom CSV expense data exports into your accounting system of choice
  • Corporate credit card support – including PEX Prepaid Visa Card
  • Customized expense categories and expense report approval chain – all specific to your company’s needs
  • Lifetime, U.S.-based technical support via phone, email and live chat

Tallie is available in the Intuit App Center and costs $9 per active user per month, with a monthly minimum fee of $50. A 14-day free trial is available.
