Time to Upgrade to QuickBooks 2013!

Read

If you are still running QuickBooks 2010, you should consider upgrading. QuickBooks’ support and services for this version are ending soon (though Kaufman, Rossin will continue to offer support for the old version), and the recently released QuickBooks 2013 offers many new and exciting features.

As of May 31, 2013, live technical support and add-on business services for QuickBooks 2010 will be discontinued. This includes payroll, credit card processing, QuickBooks E-mail and online banking.

The new and improved functions in QuickBooks 2013 include:

  • Paste and save more than 1,000 transactions from Excel. Enter client transactions in batch or paste from Excel and save all at once.
  • Email journal entries in just three easy steps. Send entries directly from QuickBooks so clients can import with one click.
  • Improved user navigation and design. Easier to read and find your way around.
  • Eight powerful tools to find and fix clients errors faster. Reclassify hundreds of transactions in batch instead of one at a time.
  • Quickly set up new clients. It is now easier to use an existing company file as a template.
  • Assign class at the list level. In previous versions you could turn on class tracking only at the company level.

The last feature above is one of the most useful improvements in QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 13.0. This great new enhancement allows you to set one of the following classes at the list level:

  • Item:  If you use the class feature to track profitability based on the product line
  • Names: If you use classes to track locations or types of customers, vendors or employees
  • Account: If you would like more flexibility to streamline the data entry process (especially helpful for non-profits)
