Steps for Healing

Kaufman Rossin is proud to sponsor Steps for Healing supporting Children’s Bereavement Center, and to share the heartfelt story behind this special event, close to the Kaufman Rossin family.

Ken Dubow and his family will lead the KR team, including his daughter Rachel, whose compassion helped spark a community tradition. Years ago, Rachel created Rachel’s Race as her Bat Mitzvah project in memory of her uncle, Brent Hershman, to support CBC’s mission of providing free grief support for families in need.

What began as a small race at Coral Reef Park grew into one of South Florida’s most meaningful events—bringing together thousands of participants, raising vital funds, and inspiring countless stories of healing.

Now, as Rachel prepares to marry her fiancé Daniel, she continues that legacy through her Wedding Mitzvah Project. On the morning of her bridal shower, they’ll participate in Steps for Healing at Zoo Miami—turning love and remembrance into action.
