Accounting Today editor-in-chief Bill Carlino presented awards Wednesday to the Best Firms to Work For at the Accounting Today Growth & Profitability Summit in Las Vegas.

Among the top three firms in the small employer category — CPA firms that have under 50 employees — the first-place winner was Johnson Jacobson Wilcox, which is based in Las Vegas. In second place was Fulcrum Inquiry, based in Los Angeles. Ranking as the third best firm to work for in the category was Pittman & Brooks, based in Portland, Ore.

Among medium-sized employers, which have 50 to 249 employees, the first place winner was Wilkin & Guttenplan, of New Brunswick, N.J. In second place was Sisterson & Co., based in Pittsburgh. In third place was Barfield, Murphy, Shank & Smith, of Birmingham, Ala.

In the category of large employers with over 250 employees, the first place winner was Kaufman Rossin, based inMiami. Taking second place was Sikich LLP, based in Aurora, Ill. In third place was the Bonadio Group, based in Rochester,N.Y.
