Bilzin Sumberg and Kaufman Rossin Participate In Habitat For Humanity Of Greater Miami Joint Team Build

As part of the firm’s Bilzin Sumberg Cares community outreach initiative, attorneys and staff from the law firm of Bilzin Sumberg, along with employees from Kaufman Rossin. and BNY Mellon, lent a helping hand at this year’s Habitat for Humanity’s Young Professionals’ Joint Team Build. Bilzin Sumberg volunteers assisted with beautifying three homes in the Greater Liberty City area with landscaping, painting and renovations – to fulfill the mission of the organization’s Liberty City Shine Campaign of building 164 homes by December 2012.

“Habitat inspires community-minded leaders across Miami to give back.” said Steven J. Wernick, Vice President of Habitat for Humanity’s Young Professionals Group and Associate in Bilzin Sumberg’s Land Use & Government Relations Group. “The Joint Team Build is a great forum for bringing together professionals from different industries to share in something so rewarding – the experience of building homes in our community for those in need.”

In addition to volunteering in the Joint Team Build event, the firm’s attorneys provide pro bono legal work to the organization throughout the year.  Through this work and the spirit of volunteerism, Bilzin Sumberg demonstrates its commitment to giving back and a genuine desire to better the people and places within the community.

“We are extremely grateful for BNY Mellon, Bilzin Sumberg and Kaufman & Rossin’s participation in this joint Team Build in support of the Habitat Young Professionals. Their enthusiasm for Miami Habitat and public service is contagious and their inherent sense of friendly competition brought out everyone’s A-game.
