Leadership Transition: Insights from Voices For Children Foundation on Blain Heckaman’s Lasting Impact

Voices For Children Foundation recently published an article featuring Blain Heckaman, highlighting his retirement after more than four decades at Kaufman Rossin and his enduring commitment to community service.

“I’m a big believer in giving back to the community and helping those who cannot help themselves, especially our youth. The focus of Voices for Children on serving the abused, abandoned and neglected children in our community really resonated with me. That’s why I decided to get involved in the organization more than 20 years ago, eventually became chairperson, and am still a board member today.” Blain reflects on a career defined as much by philanthropic leadership as by professional achievement, including 14 years as CEO of Kaufman Rossin and more than two decades of board service to Voices For Children.

Blain’s story illustrates how purposeful leadership extends well beyond the boardroom. For business leaders, his example reinforces the value of pairing strategic vision with a long-term commitment to mentorship, community involvement, and causes that strengthen the regions where firms and their clients operate.
