Deborah Young Named Entrepreneurial Services Principal at Kaufman Rossin

Kaufman Rossin, one of the top 100 CPA and advisory firms in the U.S., announced the promotion of Deborah Young, CPA, to entrepreneurial services principal.

Young is a leader in the firm’s entrepreneurial services practice, with expertise in providing tax and consulting services to hedge funds and their investors, professional service firms, high-net-worth individuals and entrepreneurial businesses in a variety of industries.

She specializes in tax compliance for domestic state and local taxes, as well as advising clients investing in hedge funds on tax strategies.

Within the firm, Young heads an initiative to train and mentor young professionals across the entrepreneurial services department. Her goal is to elevate the client experience and create opportunities for employee advancement by strengthening her team’s skills in solving state income tax compliance issues, preparing and reviewing returns, and addressing tax notice responses.

Active in the community, Young serves on Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami’s board of directors and is co-treasurer of the organization’s women’s committee. She is also a founding member of Adopt a Classroom and is involved with the Chapman Partnership for the Homeless and the Humane Society. In addition, she serves on the University of Miami Citizens Board.

Young is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Miami. She is bilingual in English and Mandarin.
