In Memoriam: Kaufman Rossin Principal Chandrasekar “Chandra” Venkataraman 

It is with profound sadness that Kaufman Rossin announces the passing of our friend and colleague Chandrasekar “Chandra” Venkataraman, who passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Chandra’s family during this difficult time.

Chandra was a corporate governance services principal in Kaufman Rossin’s Risk Advisory Services practice and managing principal and director of Kaufman Rossin Professional Services Private Limited (KRPS), the firm’s operations and offices in India. He played an instrumental role in bringing KRPS to life, and through his vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment, he helped build a bridge connecting talented professionals across the U.S. and India, strengthening the firm and its ability to serve clients. His impact on the organization will continue to be felt for many years to come.

Beyond his leadership in India, Chandra was an invaluable member of the firm’s Governance practice. He brought exceptional technical expertise, thoughtful judgment, and a calm, measured perspective to every engagement. Clients and colleagues alike sought his counsel because they knew he would listen carefully, think deeply, and respond with both wisdom and humility.

Colleagues remember Chandra as someone who made time for everyone, regardless of title or tenure. He asked thoughtful questions, listened more than he spoke, and treated every person he worked with as a partner. His curiosity never stopped, he was constantly learning, constantly teaching, and constantly finding ways to bring out the best in the people around him.

Chandra is survived by his wife, Vijayalakshmi (“Viji”), and his daughter, Krithika.
