Kaufman Rossin designates 4 tax professionals as director 

Kaufman Rossin, the largest independent CPA and advisory firm in Florida and one of the top 100 firms in the U.S., has designated four professionals in the tax services practice as director: Michelle Sadeghy, Einat Laver, Kalani Serasinghe, and Makiel Morciego.

Michelle Sadeghy is a director on the tax credits and incentives team within the tax advisory services practice. As a professional mechanical engineer, she helps clients qualify for various energy credits and incentives, including the 179D deduction for energy efficient commercial buildings and the 45L Energy Efficient Home Credit for developers. She has worked on over 40 Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) projects and provided energy design consulting on over 300 projects through one of the nation’s leading utility providers. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering and a minor in Leadership Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Einat Laver is a director in Kaufman Rossin’s tax services advisory practice. She helps lead Kaufman Rossin’s tax transactions service line, which includes mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and tax due diligence. She specializes in ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes and corporate tax compliance. She assists clients with federal and state income tax compliance for partnerships, and individuals. Laver is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of New York. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and her Master of Science degree in Taxation from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business.

Kalani Serasinghe is a director in Kaufman Rossin’s tax services advisory practice. She assists clients with federal, multi-state, international tax compliance and consulting services across various industries, including private equity investments and multi-tiered structures. She helps investors and asset managers navigate complex federal, multi-state and international tax regulations for onshore and offshore investments. She also helps to manage Kaufman Rossin’s tax team in India. Serasinghe is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Virginia. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Makiel Morciego is a director in Kaufman Rossin’s international tax services advisory practice. He manages tax engagements for foreign and domestic clients investing in U.S. and foreign businesses. Morciego focuses on international tax planning, preparation, and tax research to understand all options for his clients and recommend the best tax strategies. He recruits, trains, and manages tax professionals on his team to deliver exceptional services to clients in a growing market. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He earned his Master of Science in Taxation and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida International University.
