Kaufman, Rossin Increases Presence in New York City with Addition of Stephen Ng to Hedge Fund Tax Department

Kaufman Rossin, one of the largest independent accounting firms in Florida, today announced it has strengthened its New York City hedge fund tax department withthe addition of Stephen Ng, CPA, as a senior tax manager.

Ng specializes in taxes for hedge funds, private equity investments and fund of funds and advises clients on taxation of financial products and derivatives.

Prior to joining the firm, he worked as the senior tax manager in charge of the financial services tax group of Margolin, Winer & Evens, LLP in New York. Ng also spent several years at big four accounting firms, where he provided tax services to hedge fund clients with various trading strategies and financial products.

He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the New York State Society of CPAs, where he is on the taxation of financial instruments and transactions committee. Ng is a past chair of the taxation committee of the Nassau chapter of NYSSCPA, as well as a lead instructor of its internal training programs.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University at Albany and a master’s degree in business administration in finance from Fordham University.
