Kaufman Rossin promotes Cary Valdes-Perez to assurance and advisory services principal 

Kaufman Rossin, the largest independent CPA and advisory firm in Florida and one of the top 100 firms in the U.S., has promoted Cary Valdes-Perez, CPA, to a principal in the assurance and advisory services practice.

She provides clients with consulting and audit engagements ranging from start-ups to large companies in a variety of industries. Valdes-Perez has led assurance engagements for manufacturing and distribution, retailers, broker-dealers, aerospace and nonprofit organizations. She is experienced with employee benefit plan audits.

Valdes-Perez is a co-founder of the Kaufman Rossin Empowering Women employee resource group and a member of the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council, which fosters an inclusive culture that encourages different perspectives and enables all employees to thrive. She is passionate about mentoring, guiding and training young professionals. She is involved in recruitment and develops and leads training sessions for staff.

In addition, Valdes-Perez has made an impact in the greater South Florida community, through volunteer efforts with Big Brothers Big Sisters School to Work Program and is a Board Member of the Zoetic Stage and Reclaimed Earth, Inc. Nonprofits, and recently joined the Audit Committee for The Miami Foundation.

She is a Certified Public Accountant in New Hampshire, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Miami.
