Kaufman Rossin promotes Daniel Maya to tax principal 

Kaufman Rossin, the largest independent CPA and advisory firm in Florida and one of the top 100 firms in the U.S., has promoted Daniel Maya, CPA, to tax principal.

Maya leads the firm’s ASC 740 and corporate tax practice. He has extensive experience providing tax consulting and business advisory services to his clients, including both public and privately held corporations, specializing in Accounting for Income Taxes under ASC 740, which governs how companies recognize the effects of income taxes on their financial statements under U.S. GAAP.

He takes a comprehensive approach in serving his clients as a trusted tax advisor. He leads a team of experienced professionals, assisting clients with both the preparation and review of income tax provisions for financial statement audits. As part of the process, Maya works with his clients, as well as both Kaufman Rossin and third-party auditors, to provide seamless integration of all income tax components into the financial statements. Additionally, he assists his clients with the preparation of federal and state income tax returns, advanced tax planning including mergers and acquisitions, and representation in IRS and state tax audits.

He is a Certified Public Accountant in both Florida and Georgia and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

He earned his Master of Science in Accounting from Wake Forest University and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Florida State University
