Kaufman Rossin Promotes Three Executives

Kaufman Rossin, one of the largest independent accounting firms in Florida, today announced that Skip Shearman has been promoted to director, and Maria Toledo, CPA, and Wolfgang H. Pinther have been promoted to managers.

Shearman has been a manager of risk advisory services since joining the firm in 2007. He has more than 20 years of banking and consulting experience and has conducted and/or directed 90 audits related to compliance with the USA Patriot Act, the Bank Secrecy Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control requirements. Shearman is a member of the National Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida International University.

Toledo was promoted from supervisor to manager in the firm’s tax department. She joined Kaufman, Rossin in 2006, specializes in international tax and leads the firm’s offshore voluntary disclosure program.  Toledo works with public companies, closely-held businesses and high-net worth individuals and has experience in the financial institution, real estate and entertainment industries. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Toledo holds a master’s degree in tax and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida International University.

Pinther, who has been a member of Kaufman, Rossin’s marketing department since 2006, was elevated to a manager.  His previous title was supervisor.  Pinther has extensive experience in strategic planning, brand identity, client communication, community relations, and digital marketing, including social media implementation. He specializes in marketing strategy and implementation at Kaufman Rossin and provides a variety of marketing consulting services to the firm’s clients. Pinther holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Florida Gulf Coast University.
