Kaufman Rossin’s David Merzel Receives Certified Fraud Examiner Certification

Kaufman Rossin, one of the largest independent accounting firms in Florida, today announced that David Merzel, an accounting principal, has earned the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).

The CFE credential signifies that Merzel has the proven expertise in fraud prevention, detection, and deterrence. This certification will allow him to examine data records to detect and trace fraudulent transactions, as well as understand the law as it relates to fraud and fraud investigations.

As a principal in the firm’s entrepreneurial services practice area, Merzel lends his skills to many engagements involving entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals. Among his specialties is closely held businesses and business taxation.

Merzel is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and National Association of Enrolled Agents.
