Kaufman Rossin’s Gregory Levy to Speak at 3 Conferences on Hedge Fund Tax Strategies
Gregory M. Levy, CPA, an audit and financial services principal at Kaufman Rossin, will be speaking at the 15th Annual Effective Hedge Fund Tax Practices conference November 19th and 20th, and the 3rd Annual Hedge Fund Tax 101 and K-1 Boot Camp conferences on January 30th and 31st in New York. All three conferences are presented by Financial Research Associates, LLC.
During the Hedge Fund Tax Practices conference, Levy will lead a discussion on K-1 preparation and interpretation. The session will focus on conformity with presentation of underlying K-1’s, line placement differences, working with estimated lower-tier information and how PFICs and K-1s differ.
At the Hedge Fund Tax 101 conference, Levy will present on the fundamentals of hedge fund tax allocations, followed by two sessions on K-1’s during the K-1 Boot Camp conference.
Levy has extensive experience in hedge funds, investment advisory firms and securities brokerage firms. He is a frequent panelist and speaker at national seminars dealing with hedge fund taxation, accounting and financial reporting, and he has served as a member of the AICPA’s Investment Company Expert Panel.
