Kaufman Rossin’s Mark Scott Appointed to Greater Miami Tax Institute Board

Kaufman Rossin, one of the Top 100 CPA and advisory firms in the U.S., announced that Estate and Trust Services Principal Mark Scott, J.D., LL.M., has been appointed as the 2016 Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Greater Miami Tax Institute (GMTI).

The GMTI was founded in 1961 and is a non-profit organization that focuses on technical tax topics and conversations. It is comprised of tax attorneys, CPAs focused in taxation and Chartered Life Underwriters (CLUs).

“I’m honored by the opportunity to join the Greater Miami Tax Institute in its mission to educate its members about tax topics,” Scott said. “I look forward to discussing and learning more from some of the top tax professionals in our community.”

Scott’s areas of concentration include complex estate tax planning, gift tax planning, trust tax planning, pension planning and estate and gift tax return examinations. He enjoys the sophisticated challenges offered in the non-resident non-citizen and offshore trust planning regimes.
