Kaufman Rossin’s Robert Kaufman Appointed to Serve on AICPA Panel for 2013-2014

Kaufman Rossin, a leading independent accounting firm in Florida, announced that Robert Kaufman, a principal with the firm and a director of Kaufman Rossin Fund Services (KRFS), has been appointed for a second consecutive year to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) Investment Companies Expert Panel.

In this prestigious appointment, Kaufman will have the opportunity to influence and guide the accounting profession’s direction as well as network with peers.  The expert panel protects the public interest by bringing together knowledgeable parties in the investment companies industry, to deliberate and come to agreement on key accounting and regulatory issues affecting registered and private funds as well as the investment advisors that serve them.

Kaufman has been with the firm for more than 20 years and was part of the group that formed KRFS, which provides fund accounting and fund administration services.  He provides audit, tax and performance and other attestation services for domestic and off-shore hedge funds, broker-dealers, commodity pools and other CFTC regulated entities as well as for the affiliated management companies.
