Kaufman Rossin’s Robert Stone Selected to Join Exclusive AAML Foundation Group

Kaufman Rossin’s Robert A. Stone, CPA, ABV, CFF, a senior client services principal, was recently admitted as a Charter Member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) Foundation’s Forensic & Business Valuation Division. The elite group of 28 Charter Members from across the United States was selected on the basis of their national reputation and achievements in litigation support, forensic accounting and business valuation; their history of serving AAML members and their clients in complex financial matters during divorce proceedings;  and their commitment to integrity in this process.

The AAML is the nation’s premier organization for highly experienced attorneys practicing family law and consists of 1,600 of the best divorce lawyers in America.

The AAML Foundation, a 501 (3)(c) entity formed by the AAML, provides charitable grants to organizations nationwide whose goals are to assist children, particularly those whose families are experiencing divorce. The Charter Members of the Foundation’s Forensic & Business Valuation Division, in addition to their standing as nationally recognized experts, have demonstrated a commitment to the goals of the AAML Foundation.

Stone’s extensive experience and active practice in audit, accounting and tax forms a strong foundation for his litigation support work at Kaufman Rossin, where he has been since 1977. He works with individual clients and businesses on engagements ranging from estate and trust planning and matrimonial dissolutions to mergers and acquisitions. He has been qualified as an accounting and valuation expert in United States District Court in Florida and Circuit Court in Dade, Broward, and Monroe Counties in Florida, and he has provided expert testimony in numerous cases.

Stone is active in the community, serving as chairman of the Audit and Corporate Compliance Committee of Mount Sinai Medical Center and as a member of the hospital’s executive committee. He previously served as chairman of the Board of Trustees for Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation and chairman of the Board of Trustees for Ransom Everglades School.
