Kaufman Rossin’s Steven M. Berwick Named to Board of Directors for Two Community Organizations
Steven M. Berwick, CPA, CVA, CITP, CFF, a principal with Kaufman Rossin, one of the largest independent accounting firms in Florida, has been named to the board of directors for the Florida International University Foundation and Cancer Support Community Greater Miami.
The FIU Foundation helps raise money for scientific, educational and charitable purposes for the advancement of the university. Berwick, who graduated from FIU, is also a member of the school’s Accounting Advisory Board and the President’s Council.
The Cancer Support Community Greater Miami is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation whose mission is to provide both cancer patients and family members with support, education and hope. The organization offers free support groups, educational workshops and stress management programs to enhance health and well-being.
Berwick has been with Kaufman, Rossin since 1974 and leads the firm’s audit and litigation practices and its technology department. He has extensive experience in lost profit calculations, commercial damage models, professional malpractice matters and expert witness testimony. He has testified in more than 40 commercial litigation matters and is qualified as an expert witness in various federal and state courts throughout the nation.
Steve is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).
