Raul A. Garcia of Kaufman Rossin elected to Deering Estate Foundation Board

Kaufman Rossin, the largest independent CPA and advisory firm in Florida and one of the top 100 firms in the U.S., announced that Entrepreneurial Services Principal Raul A. Garcia, CPA, has been elected to Deering Estate Foundation’s board of directors for 2024.

The Deering Estate is “Miami’s premier landmark that showcases South Florida’s historic architecture and natural environment,” including eight native ecosystems. The foundation raises funds through annual memberships, sponsorships, and contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporations, to ensure the perpetuity of the estate. These funds allow the estate to raise public awareness, outreach, preservation, and enjoyment of the diverse native habitats.

“It’s an honor to be elected to the Deering Estate Foundation board,” said Garcia. “I look forward to working alongside fellow board members to advance and expand the foundation’s outreach to raise funds crucial for supporting education, research, and excellence in environmental preservation. I’m proud to help the foundation safeguard the estate’s viability as a cultural and educational destination, ensuring its legacy for future generations.”

At Kaufman Rossin, Garcia leads both attest and tax engagements for domestic and international clients across various industries, including banking, hedge funds, private equity funds, registered investment advisors, broker-dealers, real estate, healthcare, law firms, non-profits, retail and private clients. He takes a hands-on approach when counseling clients and involves himself in every step of the auditing process, walking clients through policies, procedures and examinations to reach their financial goals.

He is also active in the community, with current and past roles in the Miami Finance Forum, Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade, and Arts & Business Council of Miami, among other organizations.

Garcia is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida State University (FSU), and now serves on the Board of Governors at FSU’s College of Business.
