Kaufman Rossin promotes Raymond Villanueva to Risk Advisory Services principal 

Kaufman Rossin, the largest independent CPA and advisory firm in Florida and one of the top 50 firms in the U.S., has promoted Raymond Villanueva, CAMS, to principal in the firm’s Risk Advisory Services practice.

With more than 28 years of law enforcement and investigative experience, Villanueva focuses his practice on the Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering, trade enforcement, sanctions, and anti-fraud. He leverages his deep expertise to help clients evaluate and mitigate risks, and has conducted national and international large-scale financial crimes investigations involving anti-fraud, anti-money laundering, Office of Foreign Assets Control, trade enforcement, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. He has also provided several congressional testimonies on high-level issues of national significance.

His previous experience includes serving as a United States Senior Executive Service member and Special Agent in Charge for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in Washington, D.C., as well as Director of HSI’s Office of International Operations, overseeing investigative and diplomatic efforts in over 53 countries worldwide. He was also a member of the United States Delegation to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

Villanueva is a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), and a Board Member of the ACAMS U.S. Capital Chapter.

A native of Puerto Rico, he is fluent in Spanish and English.
