Richard L. Slater Inducted into Marshall University Hall of Fame
Kaufman Rossin, one of the top 100 CPA and advisory firms in the country, announced the induction of Client Services and Growth Principal Richard L. Slater to the Lewis College of Business Hall of Fame at his alma matter, Marshall University.
The Hall of Fame is the top honor awarded to business leaders “of the highest moral character” and whose contributions to business, community, and university have distinguished their careers and legacies. The university began recognizing alumni with this honor in 1994, inducting an average of five alumni per year chosen by 25 university board members. The timing of Slater’s induction makes his career one of the earliest to receive the coveted honor.
Slater’s career in business spans over three decades. He serves on several community-based organizations and has held numerous gubernatorial appointments. He has received several notable honors and was named among the 20 Most Influential Business Leaders in the state by West Virginia Executive Magazine.
“I am humbled and honored to be inducted into such a prestigious society of business leaders from across the nation,” Slater said when asked about this latest honor. “This recognition demonstrates that my professional and personal reputation is respected and appreciated. Thank you to Marshall University for providing me with a strong foundation and genuine pathway to success.”
At Kaufman Rossin, Slater serves in a leadership capacity to help develop and execute strategies to serve clients across various industries and service lines; develop and mentor firm talent; and improve overall performance and profitability.
