Stephen Ng named financial services tax principal at Kaufman Rossin

Kaufman Rossin, the largest independent accounting firm in Florida and one of the top 100 CPA and advisory firms in the U.S., announced the promotion of Stephen Ng, CPA, to principal in the financial services tax department.

Ng specializes in the taxation of financial products and derivatives, as well as impacts on individual taxes. He guides clients through tax issues affecting hedge funds, private equity investments and funds of funds.

Ng has extensive experience in financial services and the investment industry. He has lectured at New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) chapter tax conferences, the Financial Research Associates Tax Conference and Strafford webinars, and has authored several articles in industry and trade publications.

Ng graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University at Albany, and cum laude with a master’s degree in Finance from Fordham University. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and NYSSCPA, where he sits on the taxation of financial instruments and transactions committee. He is also a former chair of the Nassau chapter’s taxation committee.
