Times of Challenge and Opportunity
In the past forty-five years our Firm has helped clients succeed through tremendous transformation and change. Together we’ve weathered more than one period labeled a “”crisis.”” Our economy has continued to grow; in fact Florida is currently the fourth largest economy in the nation.
I share with you today some general advice for these times — times of challenge but also potential opportunity. And while a Top Ten list would be catchy there are at least eleven ideas I’d recommend you consider seriously.
1. Focus on service quality. Increase your effort in this area; really notch it up. If clients are in a cost-cutting mode top-quality service can differentiate you.
2. Increase communications especially with your best customers. Show them that you care by reaching out more often asking more questions sharing more information.
3. Don’t cut back on marketing — intensify your selling effort. Work to increase your market share. If you are a mid-priced provider have you reached out to clients who previously paid premium prices to others? As they cut back you may offer the perfect solution.
