Overview
Adrian Romero is a Principal in Kaufman Rossin’s Risk Advisory Services practice, specializing in enterprise risk management, internal audit, and compliance. He partners with mid-size and large global organizations across the consumer products, manufacturing, distribution, real estate, and technology industries to strategically position their risk functions, maximize the value of their internal audit programs, and reduce the cost of compliance. Known for his collaborative approach, Adrian works closely with executive leadership and audit committees to deliver practical, insight-driven solutions that strengthen governance and operational resilience.
Prior to joining Kaufman Rossin, Adrian built more than 13 years of experience at a top-five national professional services firm, rising to Director within the Risk Consulting practice. He has advised executive leadership and audit committees at global organizations across all major continents, with deep expertise in internal audit, ERM, SOX and compliance. Adrian is bilingual in English and Spanish, enabling him to serve clients across U.S. and Latin American markets.
Adrian is an active leader within the internal audit profession and the broader Miami community. He currently serves as President of the Miami Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), the second youngest individual to hold the role, and was named an Emerging Leader by Internal Auditor Magazine, one of only 15 selected globally. He also volunteers with Junior Achievement of Greater Miami and Special Olympics Florida.
Adrian holds the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation. He earned a bachelor’s degree in risk management, insurance, and leadership studies from Florida State University.
