Overview
Cary Valdes-Perez joined Kaufman Rossin in 2007 as an intern and is now a principal in the assurance and advisory services practice. She participates in consulting and audit engagements for clients ranging from start-ups to large companies in a variety of industries. Cary is an innovative young leader, always going the extra mile for clients, colleagues, and her community.
She is a co-founder of the Firm’s Diversity Initiative and Kaufman Rossin Empowering Women, which fosters an inclusive culture that encourages different perspectives and enables all employees to thrive. She is passionate about mentoring, guiding and training young professionals. She is involved in recruitment and develops and leads training sessions for staff.
Cary has led assurance engagements for nonprofit organizations, healthcare companies, and broker dealers, to name a few. She is also experienced with employee benefit plan audits and works on many of the Firm’s internal engagements. In addition, Cary has made an impact in the greater South Florida community, through volunteer efforts with Big Brothers Big Sisters School to Work Program, Miami-Dade County pet adoption events, and is a Board Member of the Zoetic Stage and Reclaimed Earth, Inc. nonprofits.
Cary is a CPA in the state of New Hampshire, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
