Overview
Dawn Jean is a manager in Kaufman Rossin’s Entrepreneurial Services practice, bringing more than 18 years of experience in public accounting. She provides tax, accounting, consulting, and advisory services to a diverse client base, including corporations, partnerships, individuals, and not-for-profit organizations. Dawn specializes in tax preparation, review, and planning, helping clients navigate complex financial and compliance matters while supporting their long-term business objectives.
Prior to joining Kaufman Rossin, Dawn held leadership roles at several regional accounting firms, where she provided tax and accounting services, including advising clients on financial reporting and operational processes. She has extensive experience training and consulting with clients on QuickBooks, including payroll processing, payroll tax compliance, accounts payable and receivable management, sales tax reporting, invoicing, and financial statement analysis. Her background also includes working with high-net worth individuals, not-for-profit and religious organizations, homeowners’ associations, and closely held businesses across a variety of industries.
Dawn is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and serves as Treasurer and Board Member of Family Promise of Brevard, an organization dedicated to ending family homelessness through prevention, shelter, stabilization, and community initiatives. She is also an active presenter on not-for-profit accounting and tax topics and has delivered continuing professional education (CPE) programs for the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and the Space Coast Chapter of Enrolled Agents.
Dawn earned a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Central Florida.
