Overview

Gerald A. Michelson served for decades in the management of Kaufman Rossin, working closely with the firm’s CEO in providing critical thinking and keen insight into firm operations. Additionally, Gerry served as Kaufman Rossin’s risk management decision maker. In May 2022 Gerry retired from active practice, and now holds the status Principal Emeritus.

During his active practice, Gerry shared with clients valuable advice stemming from more than 40 years of diversified public accounting experience. He has provided clients a variety of services, including: accounting; audit, review and compilation; individual tax planning; estate and trust tax planning; business consulting; and business valuation. Gerry has worked with clients in a range of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, professional services, construction, sales and financial services.

Since joining Kaufman Rossin in 1975, Gerry made a number of significant contributions. He served on the firm’s management committee for more than 25 years. In addition to leading engagements and serving as a client services principal, Gerry directed Kaufman Rossin’s assurance practice and developed and led the firm’s quality control program.

Gerry is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and New York. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
