Overview
Katie Haggerty serves as General Counsel for Kaufman Rossin, providing strategic legal guidance across the firm’s operations. She advises leadership on a broad range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations, employment matters, regulatory compliance, risk management, and dispute resolution.
With more than a decade of experience supporting public accounting and professional services organizations, Katie brings deep industry knowledge and a practical approach to addressing complex legal and business challenges. She has extensive experience negotiating and drafting contracts, managing employment-related matters, overseeing dispute resolution, coordinating outside counsel, and advising on commercial transactions and corporate governance. Her collaborative approach and business-minded perspective help organizations balance legal considerations with operational goals. Prior to transitioning in-house, Katie practiced as a litigator, representing clients in a wide range of civil disputes.
Katie earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Boston University. She also completed international law studies through Hofstra School of Law’s study abroad program. Katie is licensed to practice law in Maryland.
