Overview
Lisa Melendrez is a director in the Data Management department, with nearly 30 years of experience and has been a member of the firm since 2003.
Lisa leads Kaufman Rossin’s Billing and Engagement Letter department, overseeing Pandadoc software and STAR Billing. She collaborates closely with the Salesforce, DOMO, and data governance teams to develop innovative solutions for firm-wide operations. Lisa began her tenure at Kaufman Rossin in the Information Technology department, contributing to the firm’s paperless initiative. She played a key role in redesigning processes to support a paperless environment and implementing key systems, including STAR for practice management, Caseware for working papers, and the firm’s document management system. In addition to designing training modules, Lisa spearheaded training efforts to ensure seamless adoption of these systems. She has also led software testing and implemented new STAR modules and other tools to align with operational goals.
Prior to joining Kaufman Rossin, Lisa was a senior financial analyst at a multinational food corporation, working with directors and managers across Florida, North Carolina, and Massachusetts on financial models, budgets, and remodel downtime adjustments. She started her career working with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting.
Lisa is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a double major in management information systems and a master’s degree in accounting information systems from Florida International University.
