Celebrating 60

For six decades, Kaufman Rossin’s employees and partners have treasured the joy of our people-first culture.

60 years ago, two friends took a big step.

When Jim Kaufman and Jay Rossin started their CPA firm in 1962, they created a place where they wanted to go to work every day. They built a firm where they found joy working with respected colleagues and serving valued clients. “Joy at work” is one of our key values, and it’s grown to define our firm’s award-winning culture. It’s why more than 600 employees choose to be here—and stay here – and why our clients get the finest service in the business.

“Whether we’re helping a retiree plan for a secure future or advising a healthcare practice on an acquisition, joy is at the heart of everything we do.”

60 years of Joy: Founding the Firm

Jay H. Rossin and James R. Kaufman, founders of Kaufman Rossin

I said “Let’s go into business,” and Jay, a bit more deliberate in his actions than I, said “let me think about it.” But still he agreed, and we took the first steps toward building a place where we could make a living and enjoy coming to work.

There was no way we could have anticipated the great journey we were beginning.
