Andrew Taubman to Co-Lead Broward Business Council on Homelessness
Kaufman Rossin, one of the top 100 CPA and advisory firms in the U.S. and one of the largest in Florida, announced today that Entrepreneurial Services Principal Andrew S. Taubman, CPA, CAA, CFST, will be co-chair of the Broward Business Council on Homelessness.
The Broward Business Council on Homelessness is an initiative of United Way of Broward County and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance. The council was founded in 2018 and is part of the coalition to end homelessness in the Broward community. The coalition includes Broward County government, the City of Fort Lauderdale, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, United Way, Chief Judge Tuter and Community Court, and many volunteers and providers.
Now in its second year, the council will be led by Taubman, and David Armstrong, President Emeritus of Broward College. Together, they will continue working to find solutions to end homelessness and improving the lives of those in need. So far, about 120 individuals and families have been housed thanks to the council’s efforts.
Taubman has been actively involved in numerous community projects and community development endeavors throughout his career. In addition to his role on the council, he is currently a member of the Executives’ Association of Fort Lauderdale and the United Way of Broward County Tocqueville Society Steering Committee, and a board Member of the Friends of Hugh Taylor Birch State Park.
