Blain Heckaman of Kaufman Rossin among Forbes Top 200 CPAs in America

Kaufman Rossin, the largest independent CPA and advisory firm in Florida and one of the top 100 firms in the U.S., announced chief executive officer Blain Heckaman, CPA, has been named one of America’s Top 200 CPAs of 2024 by Forbes.

The list was created by Forbes editorial staff who considered a variety of weighted factors to rank the nominees, including “expertise, innovation, thought leadership, experience, and service to the community and to their profession, as well as responses to selected questions.”

“It’s an incredible honor to be recognized on Forbes’ first-ever Top 200 CPAs list,” said CEO Blain Heckaman. “I’ve had the privilege of leading Kaufman Rossin as CEO, helping to grow the firm to one of the top CPA and advisory firms in the U.S.”

Heckaman has led the firm’s strategic vision, growth plans and innovation initiatives, including championing the firm’s expansion of specialized business consulting, risk advisory and forensic advisory practices to complement its traditional tax and assurance services. Since joining Kaufman Rossin in 1984, Heckaman has been working with public companies and private businesses in all stages of growth on assurance and advisory engagements. His extensive technical expertise in financial reporting and other assurance areas adds to his strategic perspective on the challenges and opportunities that business leaders face.

He is active in the South Florida community and has been recognized by the South Florida Business Journal as a Power Leader, Ultimate CEO and Key Partner. Heckaman chairs the YWCA’s Economic Justice Council, a group of businesses dedicated to creating more inclusive industries, corporations and workplaces, and he is a member of the Strategic Forum, a CEO organization dedicated to the exchange of ideas and helping others, including mentoring business students. He is a past chairman and current board member of Voices for Children Foundation Inc., a non-profit organization that raises funds for the abused, abandoned and neglected children of Miami-Dade County.

Heckaman is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and Indiana. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Ball State University.
