Carlos A. Somoza Joins Kaufman, Rossin as Principal
Kaufman Rossin, one of the largest independent accounting firms in Florida, today announced the addition of Carlos A. Somozaas an international tax principal.
Before joining Kaufman, Rossin, he was a senior tax manager with BDO USA, LLP and also worked with other international accounting firms. He has 15 years of experience in federal income, gift, and estate taxation. Somoza’s areas of expertise include estate planning, asset protection and pre-immigration planning for foreign, high-net worth individuals and Internal Revenue Service offshore voluntary disclosure. He provides international inbound and outbound planning for U.S. and foreign multinational corporations, including tax-efficient structuring and foreign tax credit planning.
Somoza holds a master of law (LL.M.) degree in taxation and a juris doctor from the University of Miami. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida International University.
