CPA Firm Expands

With the rebounding economy, professional service rooms are seeing growth, too.

Among them: The venerable Kaufman Rossin Group accounting firm.

In Boca Raton, the firm expanded to a larger office in September, growing to 12,000 square feet from 8,000 square feet. The new office is at One Town Center, a 10-story office tower formerly known as Tyco’s headquarters, near the Town Center mall.

Kaufman Rossin CPA Scott Berger said the firm is seeing increased growth from entrepreneurs who developed businesses in other parts of the county, moved to South Florida and now want to start a new enterprise.

Helping boost the roster of new clients moving to Palm Beach County are higher taxes in northern states, plus last year’s bitter winter, Berger said.

With the added space, Berger said the firm expects to hire more employees. The Boca Raton office currently employs 33 people and now has space to add another 30 more, if needed.

Kaufman Rossin is the second tenant in the building, joining Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors of Armonk, N.Y., which moved its real estate private equity group to Boca Raton last year.

Kaufman Rossin has represented Florida business for more than 50 years.
