Joy Batteen Recognized as 2016 Power Leader in Human Resources

Joy A. Batteen, director of Human Resources at Kaufman Rossin, has been named a Power Leader in Human Resources for 2016 by the South Florida Business Journal.

A Power Leader in Human Resources is a person who exemplifies a company’s culture and transforms the organization into a place where employees are happy to work and that other companies strive to match. These individuals go out of their way to put people first, create a great place to work and put the firm on the map.

“I’m extremely honored to have been selected for this award,” said Batteen. “I love coming to work each day and want others to feel the same way.  Kaufman Rossin puts its employees first, which makes my job especially rewarding.”

Batteen oversees the firm’s human resources department and leads all recruiting efforts for Kaufman Rossin. She also leads the firm’s wellness initiatives, which led Kaufman Rossin to win the “Best Health & Wellbeing Program” honor at the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s 2016 Excellence in HR Awards. Batteen also is a member of the Greater Miami Society for Human Resource Management.
